I’d been told never experiment with drugs; this is generally sound advice. During an extreme illness, I’d started using THC gummies as a last resort to get my appetite back and tolerate the general level of suffering. It had the secondary effect of recognizing insights and connections with my environment and media. Personally, it causes a slowing which requires more effort to communicate in real-time to express my experiences, so I began taking notes and messaging people around me.
Most of my notes have been eye-opening or entertaining (at least to me) enough to want to keep them around in one place. My natural curiosity led me to try old experiences to see what difference THC would make, and it became experimental in the literal sense. A favorite activity when “on a level” or “among the clouds” is to find interesting things to read. One night I found the essay written by Mr. X which was likely a pseudonym used by Carl Sagan. I was ecstatic to learn that I wasn’t the only one who used an almost scientific approach in experiencing the effects of THC. After reading the essay, I decided to start this blog to save my notes.
It’s very likely nobody else will ever read these. It’s most likely this is just some vanity project. However, the last two steps of the scientific method are to analyze the data and draw conclusions most importantly to report the findings. To satisfy the science geek in me, I will stick with those last two pieces.
